Software license

PasteCube (“the Software”) is developed independently by CortexGrid (矩见) and distributed free of charge through the Mac App Store. By downloading the Software you receive a license to use its free features on your personal Mac; completing the in-app “PasteCube Pro” purchase extends that license to the Pro features. The license is non-transferable and non-resalable.

• Scope: You may use the Software on all Macs where you are signed in with the same Apple ID. The Pro entitlement follows that same Apple ID.
• Free features: The Software is free to download and free to use, with no time limit and no account registration. In the free state you can access your latest 20 clipboard items.
• Prohibitions: You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software; nor copy, distribute, rent, or resell it; nor circumvent or crack the entitlement checks protecting the Pro features; nor use it for any unlawful purpose.

In-app purchase (PasteCube Pro)

The Software offers one optional in-app purchase, “PasteCube Pro (Lifetime)”, which unlocks full history access, search across your entire history, and tag filtering that reaches every record.

• One-time purchase, not a subscription: This is a “non-consumable” product as defined by Apple StoreKit — paid once, valid permanently. It is not a subscription, never auto-renews, has no expiry or renewal, and incurs no further charges.
• Price: The reference price is US$9.99 (CN¥68 in mainland China). The actual price, currency, and taxes are whatever your regional App Store displays, and may change in line with Apple’s regional pricing policies.
• Who collects payment: The purchase is processed and collected by Apple through the App Store. Your transaction with Apple is additionally governed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. We never see or collect any of your payment information.
• Tied to your Apple ID: The Pro entitlement is associated with your Apple ID and can be used on multiple Macs signed in with it, at no additional cost.
• Free features are unaffected: The Software’s free features remain usable whether or not you buy Pro; we will not withdraw the free features because you have not purchased.
• Your data does not depend on payment status: The Software always saves clipboard records to your Mac in full. The free state only limits how much you can reach — it never deletes records beyond that reach, and unlocking Pro makes everything previously saved visible.

Restoring purchases & refunds

• Restore Purchase: Click “Restore Purchase” in the Software’s paywall or Settings to re-sync your purchase history through Apple and restore the Pro entitlement. No repeat payment is needed after changing devices, reinstalling macOS, or reinstalling the Software.
• Refunds: Refunds are reviewed and processed solely by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You can submit a request via Account → Purchase History in the App Store. As the developer, we have no authority to accept or issue refunds directly.
• Effect of a refund: Once a refund takes effect Apple revokes the transaction, and the Software automatically reverts to its free state (access to your latest 20 items). This process does not delete any clipboard records already saved on your Mac.

Updates & services

After purchasing PasteCube Pro, updates released for the Software are available free of charge, and we will not charge again for Pro features you have already unlocked. CortexGrid does not commit to any specific update cadence or feature roadmap, and reserves the right to adjust which features are free and which require Pro; if such an adjustment occurs, the Pro entitlement of existing purchasers is unaffected.

Disclaimer

The Software is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You assume all risk of using the Software. In no event shall CortexGrid be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Software.

Privacy

The Software is local-first: clipboard data is stored only on your Mac and is never uploaded to any server, and Pro entitlement verification also happens entirely on-device — we operate no server of our own. See the Privacy Policy for details.
